Solutions for
Special Machine Construction
Special-purpose machine building demands tailor-made solutions. A wide variety of workpieces, customized manufacturing processes, and stringent requirements for precision, flexibility and system availability call for drive and machine components that can be reliably integrated into complex machine designs. ENEMAC meets these challenges with high-performance clamping technology as well as safety couplings and line shaft couplings for demanding special-purpose machinery.
ENEMAC mechanical clamping elements provide secure tool and workpiece clamping with clamping forces of up to 250 kN. Thanks to their integrated force amplification mechanism, high clamping forces are achieved with only low tightening torques. Their self-locking design ensures permanently secure clamping connections and maximum process reliability, even under varying loads and frequent tool changes.
ENEMAC safety couplings for direct drives reliably protect machinery against costly overload damage. They provide torque limitation up to 23,000 Nm, mechanically disengage the driveline within milliseconds in the event of an overload, and prevent damage to servo motors, gearboxes, tooling and machining units. At the same time, they compensate for axial, radial and angular shaft misalignment while ensuring precise, backlash-free torque transmission. Typical applications include machining centres, automated assembly systems, test rigs, robotic systems and custom-engineered special-purpose machines.
For applications with large shaft separations, ENEMAC line shaft couplings provide an economical and technically elegant solution. They bridge shaft distances of up to 6 m and transmit torque through a reliable friction-locked shaft-hub connection with high precision. This allows motors and gearboxes to be positioned more flexibly, optimizes machine layouts and eliminates the need for additional intermediate bearings. As a result, both design complexity and installation effort are reduced while maintenance accessibility is significantly improved.
With their high precision, modular design and long service life, ENEMAC components enable machine builders to develop custom special-purpose machinery that is efficient, reliable and future-proof.

Clamping technology
40 - 250 kN
Clamping technology guarantees safe and force-enhanced clamping of tools and workpieces with a nominal clamping force of up to 250 kN. With various force amplifier systems, ENEMAC clamping technology increases both operational safety and efficiency in your production and also shortens set-up and production times. ENEMAC clamping elements can be used as original equipment in machines or retrofitted.

Torque limiters for direct drives
0.3 - 23000 Nm
Torque limiters for direct drives protect against overload in the motor train and ensure precise torque transmission. They are used throughout plant, machine and test bench construction. While the variants with metal bellows mounting primarily compensate for axial, radial and angular misalignments, the torque limiters with elastomer mounting primarily have an electrically insulating and vibration-damping effect. Both types of coupling provide effective and purely mechanical protection against overloads and the resulting machine downtimes.

Distance couplings
10 - 1600 Nm
Distance couplings are shaft couplings for bridging large centre distances and compensating for shaft misalignment. Distances of up to 6 m can be bridged using variable-length intermediate tubes made of high-strength aluminium, which are adapted to customer requirements. ENEMAC spacer couplings can be used as backlash-free connecting, cardan or synchronising shafts at temperatures of up to 300 °C and cover a torque range of 10 Nm - 1,600 Nm.
