Automated production systems place the highest demands on drive technology. Short cycle times, precise positioning and high process reliability require shaft couplings that transmit torque without backlash, reliably compensate for shaft misalignment and operate maintenance-free even under continuous-duty conditions.
ENEMAC metal bellows couplings are ideally suited for highly dynamic servo axes, robots, pick-and-place systems, packaging machines and assembly equipment. Their absolutely backlash-free, torsionally rigid torque transmission ensures maximum positioning accuracy. Thanks to their low mass moment of inertia, they enable outstanding positioning precision even during rapid acceleration and deceleration. At the same time, they compensate for axial, radial and angular misalignment while generating only low restoring forces. High-speed versions are designed for speeds of up to 57,000 min⁻¹, while high-temperature versions are suitable for operating temperatures of up to 350°C.
Where high torque capacity and high torsional rigidity are required simultaneously, ENEMAC multi-plate couplings (disc couplings) are the preferred solution. They transmit torques of up to 65,000 Nm, operate wear-free and maintenance-free, and are ideally suited for high-performance drives in gantry systems, handling equipment, conveyor systems and large positioning axes.
ENEMAC elastomer couplings combine precise torque transmission with effective vibration and shock damping. They reduce peak loads, minimise resonance and protect motors, gearboxes and bearings. With speeds of up to 35,000 min⁻¹, they provide an economical solution for conveyor systems, packaging machines, handling equipment and a wide range of general automation applications. Different elastomer hardnesses allow the coupling characteristics to be optimally matched to the specific drive application.

Multi-plate couplings

Multi-plate couplings (disc couplings) are form-fitting shaft connections for the backlash-free transmission of torques of up to 65,000 Nm in direct drives. The high-strength disc packs made of stainless steel make it possible to compensate for axial, lateral and angular shaft misalignments. The double-cardanic design can also bridge shaft distances of up to 3 metres and can therefore be used as a distance coupling.
